Software developer RMR plc and IBC Global Conferences have worked together to
create a new Internet based conference event that will be officially opened
today (Wednesday 11 July 2001).


The conference, called eCommerce-finance Congress 2001, will extend the
lifespan and reach of the equivalent physical event that was held at the
Barbican Centre in London at the end of June.


Delegates who attended the conference will be able to catch up on any seminars
or presentations they missed and join in new discussions via the web-based
event. In addition people who were unable to attend the event at the Barbican
Centre will also be able to participate by logging onto the web-based
conference free of charge. The event can be accessed at
(www.ecommerce-finance.com/virtual).


Topics up for discussion include: Private Wealth Management; ePayments;
Aggregation; Pension Supermarkets; Fund Management and Internet Pension Scheme
Communication.


Dr Mark K Smith, Business Development Director at RMR plc, said: "We hope that
by placing the event online we will be able to extend its reach and also
provide delegates with a slightly different angle on the whole event.
