The Fund is a diversified closedend investment management company that seeks current income and gains. It has an interval fund structure according to which the Fund will annually repurchase between 5% and 25% of its outstanding shares. It invests at least 80% of its assets in US Government and its Agencies securities including US Government mortgagebacked securities. It may also invest up to 20% of its assets in nonUS Government Agency securities of foreign or domestic issuers including commercial paper notes corporate bonds debentures assetbacked securities mortgagebacked securities corporate loans sovereign debt securities and money market securities that are rated in one of the four highest rating categories by at least one of the established rating agencies. |
