First Data to showcase industry leadership
during mainstage presentation and five other panels throughout the
four day conference in Las Vegas
As the world of payments, commerce, and FinTech descends upon
Las Vegas this month for the annual Money 20/20 conference, leading
commerce-enabler First Data (NYSE: FDC) will take center stage for
a mainstage presentation and a variety of panel opportunities.
“This is the fourth year that First Data has played a prominent
role at Money 20/20, and we are delighted to once again have so
many of our colleagues showcase their expertise at one of the
leading industry conferences,” said Guy Chiarello, President, First
Data. “Since our keynote address last year, First Data has made
significant headway in providing cutting edge commerce-enabling
technologies to our clients, including eCommerce, mobile, and
‘Universal Commerce’ solutions that enable businesses to better
connect with their customers while facilitating safe, secure and
fast transactions.”
“First Data is one of the most active and important companies in
the ecosystem and this is clearly represented throughout this
year’s event,” said Sanjib Kalita, Chief Marketing Officer for
Money 20/20. “From the hackathon to the exhibit hall and to track
and keynote sessions, First Data is actively engaging with the
industry. Support from companies like First Data have been a
critical driver of Money 20/20’s growth and success.”
John Beatty, co-founder and CTO of Clover, a First Data company,
will present on the main stage in a session entitled “Next
Generation Point-of-Sales.” The session will explore the latest
updates in the POS industry, including the newest additions to the
Clover product portfolio. John has played a critical role in the
development of the Clover platform which now has more than 225,000
devices shipped and nearly 200 apps in the Clover App Market.
Barry McCarthy, EVP, Head of Network and Security Solutions at
First Data, is appearing on two panels during the course of the
show. On Sunday, Barry will join Hala Moddelmog of the Metro
Atlanta Chamber, an organization First Data frequently partners
with in its hometown of Atlanta, and others for a discussion on how
FinTech represents an important economic development opportunity
for cities around the world.
Barry will also present with First Data partner Feedzai on a
panel entitled ‘Machine Learning, Omnidata & Fraud Mitigation.’
During the session, Barry and Feedzai’s Chairman and CEO Nuno
Sebastiao will discuss how they are leveraging artificial
intelligence to combat fraud by leveraging First Data’s
unparalleled transaction data. As head of First Data’s Network and
Security Solutions group, Barry oversees the STAR Network and a
range of technology solutions for businesses and financial
institutions that are designed to ensure transactions are fast,
secure and efficient.
Jack Stephenson, SVP of Digital Commerce, will take the stage
with other panelists to discuss the role of digital technology in
the evolving in-store customer experience, a topic that is
especially pertinent with the holidays around the corner. During
the panel, Jack will cover Universal Commerce, which he oversees at
First Data. Universal Commerce is a seamless, personalized mobile
purchase experience for today’s connected consumer. First Data has
implemented solutions for major brands across several industries,
including QSR, automotive, and petroleum, in the form of mobile
apps that simplify checkout and make the overall buying experience
seamless.
Money 20/20 also has a panel dedicated to how POS solutions have
evolved over the years to meet the unique needs of small business
owners. Jim Allen, SVP of Small Business Solutions, will present
alongside four other panelists on how the Clover platform addresses
pain points for small business owners – from inventory and
personnel management to data and analytics.
Also on the topic of data and analytics, Sandeep Garg, VP of
First Data’s Information and Analytics group, will join a panel on
how permissioned data can be leveraged to create great customer
experiences across channels. At First Data, Sandeep’s group is
responsible for an innovative set of cloud applications that
provide actionable business and consumer insights for small
businesses and large retailers.
Finally, First Data will again sponsor the Money 20/20
