WARSAW--Dutch Rabobank may sell its Polish unit Bank Gospodarki
Zywnosciowej S.A. (BGZ.WA) this year for about 3 billion zlotys
($910 million), the Parkiet daily reports quoting unnamed
sources.
Interested buyers include ING Bank Slaski (ING.WA), BNP Paribas
Bank Polska S.A. (BNP.WA), Getin Noble Bank S.A. (GNB.WA) and
French Credit Agricole S.A. (ACA.FR), the report said.
BGZ is the country's eleventh largest bank by assets with a
market capitalization of PLN2.78 billion.
Earlier this month Scandinavian Nordea Bank agreed to sell its
Polish operations to the state-controlled PKO BP for PLN2.83
billion.
