LONDON--Impala Platinum Holdings Ltd. (IMP.JO), the world's second-largest platinum producer, said Friday it has appointed Nelson Ndlala as the new executive head of its Rustenburg operations with immediate effect.

Mr. Ndlala will report directly to Chief Executive Terence Goodlace and will serve as a member of the executive committee as well as represent the Johannesburg-based company on a number of its operational boards.
