SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Nov. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Safe
Communications, Inc. (Pink Sheets: SGTB.pk - NEWS), the
leader in offering secure online experiences for young children, is
pleased to announce its support of H.R.1895, the "Do Not Track Kids
Act of 2011" sponsored by Representatives Joe Barton (R-TX)
and Ed Markey (D-MA). Barton
and Markey serve as Co-Chairmen of the Congressional Privacy
Caucus. The pending legislation establishes clear rules regarding
child privacy and requires verifiable parental consent. Under the
new rule, the FTC would be instructed to place strict limitations
on the use of childrens personal information. With over 5 million
kids under the age of 10 on Facebook, children are exposed to
outside exploitation and predators like never before.
Rep. Barton, acknowledged Safe Communications support
and endorsement and said, "I am happy that Safe
Communications is endorsing the "Do Not Track Kids Act of 2011".
Danger on the Internet is just a click away and it is evident this
company values protecting children from online predators. My friend
Mr. Markey and I share this goal, which is the reason we introduced
our bill. I am glad to have the support of Safe Communications and
I look forward to their help in making sure our bill becomes
law."
John Venners, President/CEO of
Safe Communications stated, "We applaud Congressmen Barton and
Markey for taking this bold step on behalf of our innocent
children. It's vital that Congress acts immediately to
address this growing problem. We certainly hope other
providers and site operators, especially those in the social
media, will get behind this important legislation and lend
their support."
Safe Communications provides secure email and web texting
