                         Meriden Group Plc announces

                          significant new contracts



Meriden Group plc, the AIM-listed innovative business services group has
announced the signing of new three year contracts with three companies who
have joined its first Centre of e-xcellence based in Halesowen in the West
Midlands, in the period up to 31 December 2001.



Having joined the Centre of e-xcellence in 2001, Nice PC Limited, the
Fujitsu-Siemens PC reseller, has signed a 3-year contract with Meriden Group
Plc. This contract is for the provision of Office Accommodation and IT support
Facilities, Management and Financial Consultancy. In addition to these
contracted services, Meriden is also currently providing traditional and
e-Marketing services to Nice PC on a monthly basis.  Although not formally
contracted, these services are expected to continue for the long term. The
directors estimate that total revenue from the provision of its services to
Nice PC will be approximately #4 million per annum.



Two other companies, Eltora Digital UK Limited and Zodiac Logistics Limited
have also signed similar 3-year contracts with Meriden. Eltora Digital
provides enterprise network solutions, principally around the latest rackmount
fileserver technology.  Zodiac Logistics distributes reworked PCs and
components and also provides logistics support to other IT based businesses.
Services within these agreements will be similar to those provided under
contract to Nice PC. The directors of Meriden estimate that the combined total
revenue from Eltora and Zodiac will be in the region of #400,000 per annum.



Commenting, Meriden Group plc chief executive Russell Stevens said:

since we launched Meriden on the Alternative Investment Market in August, and
we are confident that other companies will join us during 2002. In addition,
as well as those companies resident in the Centre of e-xcellence, our group
continues to provide its services to companies in the wider business community
and we anticipate strong growth both in internal and external services in the
next year."

Meriden intends to announce its interim results for the period ending 31st
January 2002 on 28th February 2002.
