                            Directors' Shareholdings

The Board of Ambient plc (the "Company") was notified yesterday that the
chairman, Vincent Isaacs, has resigned as trustee from The Stimpson Trust (1998)
and The Stimpson Trust (2000) (the "Trusts") which hold 550,000 and 386,000
ordinary shares respectively. Following the change in trustees of the Trusts,
Andrew Stimpson remains beneficially interested in 550,000 and 386,000 ordinary
shares comprised within those Trusts.

In addition to the above, it was announced today that certain companies of which
Vincent Isaacs and Andrew Stimpson are shareholders and Peter Revell-Smith a
Non-Executive Director, have agreed to subscribe for new ordinary shares at a
price of 45 pence per share, as part of a placing of ordinary shares undertaken
by the Company.

As a result of these dealings, Vincent Isaacs, Andrew Stimpson and Peter
Revell-Smith have the following interests in the ordinary share capital of the
Company:
