Derf, It looks like Deere may be ready to break out of the 3+ year funk it's been in. Great company, but In the heavy machinery space I decided to go with Caterpillar. But Deere may be set to play catch up with a multi-year run.

Just think of them as redeemable coupons that will be exchanged for the public company shares at a later date. The contract for the private shares explicitly states the private shares cannot be sold until 6 months after they are listed on Nasdaq.
