Alberstons stores had that kind of person in mind when creating
Essensia, a new line of entrees, side dishes and desserts, which
combine convenience, quality ingredients and competitive prices.
"Our goal in creating Essensia was to provide a wide range of food
choices, from main courses designed to appeal to families whose
children are picky eaters, to foods that can be served to the most
discriminating dinner guests," said Terry Lee, vice president of
corporate brands for Albertsons. "To meet the diverse needs of our
customers, our ingredient lists include items like vine ripened
tomatoes, the richest chocolate chips, real cream cheese and high
quality beef products." The growing Essensia line includes premium
entrees, side dishes, and desserts such as Sun-dried Tomato Striped
Ravioli with Basil Pesto, Two Meat Lasagna, Beef Short Ribs in a
Polynesian Style Sauce, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Meatballs in
Marinara Sauce, New York Style Cheesecake, and Tiramisu. The line
also offers salsas, salad dressings, BBQ sauces, and mustards for
the perfect complement to many meals. In addition, customers can
find Essensia cookies and crackers in a wide variety of flavors.
Many of the entrees yield four to six servings or more, providing a
nutritious main course for an entire family that can be put
together simply by heating up just a single package. Albertsons is
