SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Human Pheromone Sciences, Inc. (OTC:EROX) (BULLETIN BOARD: EROX) ("HPS" or "the Company") today announced the signing of an exclusive Agency Agreement with Brand Intelligence Group, Inc. ("BIG"), to reposition and promote the Company's Natural Attraction(R) brand, which contains its proprietary and patented human pheromone technology. Under the terms of the Agreement, HPS and BIG will work together to develop a comprehensive program to repackage, reposition and promote the Natural Attraction brand, in order to capitalize on the potential strength of the trademark and its underlying technology. In commenting on the Agreement, an HPS spokesperson indicated that the Company has been primarily focused on developing long-term relationships with leaders in the consumer products arena to incorporate the Company's mood-enhancing technology in products marketed and sold by such corporate partners. "While our primary focus has been successful in attracting industry leaders to incorporate our technology in their products, we have not focused our Natural Attraction line," said Bill Horgan, CEO, of the Company. In August of last year, the Company entered into a License Agreement with a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary, and most recently signed a non-exclusive agreement with Schwarkf and Henkel for several hair care lines. The Company noted that additional product introductions by Licensees are imminent. BIG is a New York City-based consortium of branding, communication, licensing and marketing firms specializing in fragrance, fashion, lifestyle and luxury products. Co-presidents, Louis Iacovelli and Deborah Moses, are recognized experts in positioning and repositioning brands. Their collective client experience in beauty and fragrance include L'Oreal, Estee Lauder, Givenchy Fragrance, Coty Prestige, Dolce & Gabbana, Vera Wang, Gianni Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, Moschino, Joseph Abboud, Smash Box, Urban Decay, Bare Escentuals and Be Fine. Human Pheromone Sciences, Inc. is a technology-based company, whose proof-of concept products included prestige-priced fragrances and toiletries and environmental products sold under the Natural Attraction(R), REALM(R), innerREALM(R) and EROX(R) trademarks. These products contain mood-enhancing compounds, whose efficacy has been validated at leading universities around the world, and whose use is covered under United States and foreign patents. The Company is also involved in research and product development efforts on new compounds that have been previously identified as stimulating the emotional centers of the human brain.
