TANJONG PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY ("Tanjong" or "Company")

-  Notification pursuant to paragraph 14.09 (a) of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange ("KLSE")
Listing Requirements of Dealings During Open Period


We wish to announce that the Company has been notified of the following dealings by Principal
Officers of the Company of the shares of the Company pursuant to Paragraph 14.09 (a) of the KLSE
Listing Requirements: -

1.   Notification on 27 October 2003 by Puan Yau Li Chong: -

a)   (i)    That she has disposed in the open market of the KLSE, 1,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in
            Tanjong representing 0.0003% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at the date of the
            transaction;
     (ii)   Date of transaction - 11 October 2003; and
     (iii)  Transaction price - RM11.30 per share of 7.5 pence each.

b)   (i)    That she has disposed in the open market of the KLSE, 1,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in
            Tanjong representing 0.0003% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at the date of the
            transaction;
     (ii)   Date of transaction - 21 October 2003; and
     (iii)  Transaction price - RM11.10 per share of 7.5 pence each.


2.   Notification on 27 October 2003 by Puan Siuagamy Ramasamy: -

     (i)    That she has disposed in the open market of the KLSE, 35,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in
            Tanjong representing 0.009% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at the date of the
            transaction;
     (ii)   Date of transaction - 23 October 2003; and
     (iii)  Transaction price - RM11.50 per share of 7.5 pence each.

3.   Notification on 27 October 2003 by Puan Lee Siew Lan: -

  a) (i)    That she has disposed in the open market of the KLSE, 10,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in
            Tanjong representing 0.003% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at the date of the
            transaction;
     (ii)   Date of transaction - 23 October 2003; and
     (iii)  Transaction price - RM11.50 per share of 7.5 pence each.

  b) (i)    That she has disposed in the open market of the KLSE, 10,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in
            Tanjong representing 0.003% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at the date of the
            transaction;
     (ii)   Date of transaction - 23 October 2003; and
     (iii)  Transaction price - RM11.60 per share of 7.5 pence each.
