Pope & Talbot, Inc. (NYSE:POP) has announced a $30 price
increase to it�s customers in all markets effective April 1st until
further notice. The new prices will be $820 in the North American
market and $790 in Europe for its northern bleached softwood (NBSK)
grades. Pope & Talbot is a pulp and wood products business. The
Company is based in Portland, Oregon and traded on the New York
Stock Exchange under the symbol POP. Pope & Talbot was founded
in 1849 and produces market pulp and softwood lumber at mills in
the US and Canada. Markets for the Company�s products include the
