Pope & Talbot, Inc. (NYSE:POP) has announced a $20 price
increase to its customers in Europe and North America until further
notice. The new prices will be $830 in the North American market
and $800 in Europe for its northern bleached softwood (NBSK)
grades. Pope & Talbot is a pulp and wood products company. The
Company is based in Portland, Oregon and trades on the New York
Stock Exchange under the symbol POP. Pope & Talbot was founded
