(NYSE:RGS), a leader in beauty salons and cosmetology education
with brands including Supercuts, SmartStyle and Regis Salons, is
pleased to announce its annual Clip for the Cure event will take
place on Saturday, October 15, 2016.
The day-long haircutting event, which includes nearly 7,000 salons
at 30+ Regis Corporation (Regis Corp.) salon brands, raises funds
for breast cancer research.
Guests who visit participating Regis Corp. salons in the U.S.
and Canada for a haircut can be
part of the effort. Each year more than 200,000 guests and 45,000
Regis Corp. stylists participate, and Regis Corp. donates 10% of
proceeds from each haircut to the Regis Foundation for Breast
Cancer Research.
The company has supported breast cancer research since 1990 and,
to date, Regis stylists and guests have raised more than
$11 million to fight the disease. The
donations fund ongoing research efforts to support the fight
against breast cancer. In August
2016, the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research
donated $400,000 to Mayo Clinic and
$400,000 to the Masonic Cancer
Center, University of Minnesota.
