MONTREAL, April 3, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - SNC-Lavalin (TSX:
SNC) is pleased to announce that Alain-Pierre Raynaud will become its new Chief
Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Office of the President
effective June 1, 2013, and will be
based at the Company's Head Office in Montreal.
Mr. Raynaud is a graduate of the Institut d'Etudes
Politiques in Paris and holds
a doctorate in Economics. He has spent 32 years in the energy,
automotive and banking sectors, gaining considerable international
experience with major global corporations specializing in project
management in Europe and
Asia.
Mr. Raynaud began his career as a financial analyst before
moving to Renault in 1987, where he later became Senior
Vice-President and Corporate Controller. In 2003, he moved to
Japan as a member of Nissan's
Executive Committee to oversee the group's Cost Control and IT
services departments and lead its financial operations. Between
2006 and 2011, Mr. Raynaud was CFO of Areva, where he successfully
oversaw the implementation of the company's change management
program, which included organizational restructuring, supply chain
optimization and a new investment plan. He was subsequently named
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Areva UK.
Mr. Raynaud follows Gilles Laramée as SNC-Lavalin's CFO. Mr.
Laramée now continues exclusively in the role of Executive
Vice-President for the Company's Infrastructure, Concessions and
Investments business unit. He will provide assistance to Mr.
Raynaud as required to ensure a smooth transition over the coming
months.
