CALGARY, March 17, 2014 /CNW/ - Hawk Exploration Ltd. ("Hawk" or the "Corporation") announces that Thomas Buchanan has chosen to resign from the Corporation's Board of Directors in order to concentrate on other business endeavors.

Mr. Buchanan has been a director of Hawk since its formation in February 2009. The Corporation would like to thank Mr. Buchanan for his tremendous guidance and contributions as a member of the Board of Directors of Hawk and for his past contributions as a director of Hawk's two predecessor companies, Hawk Oil Inc. and Hawk Energy Ltd. dating back to 1996. The Corporation and the Board of Directors would like to wish Mr. Buchanan all the best in the future.
