SmartGate Safety Sensors to Be Factory-Installed Option for DC
Solutions Parking Barrier Gates SARASOTA, Fla., Jan. 18
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Invisa, Inc. (OTC:INSA) (BULLETIN BOARD:
INSA) , an electronic life safety and security company that
commercializes patented presence-sensing technologies, announced
that it has shipped to DC Solutions, Inc. a stocking order of
SmartGate(R) PBG-3 parking barrier gate safety sensors. DC
Solutions plans to offer the PBG-3 as a factory-installed option
for its parking barrier gates. Additional sales are anticipated in
2005. SmartGate safety sensors are the only non-contact sensors
available that generate an invisible field traveling with and
preceding a closing gate arm. Obstructions in front of the path of
travel are detected before they make contact. Kim Nelson, Founder
and President of DC Solutions, said, "We have tested SmartGate
sensors on our barrier gate products and find that they bring an
important added layer of safety not previously available to the
industry. We look forward to building a mutually profitable
relationship with Invisa." "We're proud to have the validation of a
leading player like DC Solutions -- Kim has been tremendously
supportive of our company," said Carl Parks, Vice President of
Operations at Invisa. "I believe this is an important step in our
efforts to build business with key manufacturers and distributors
in the powered closure sector." About DC Solutions: DC Solutions,
Inc. is one of the largest suppliers of parking barrier gates in
North America. As a full line manufacturer of barrier, slide, and
commercial & residential swing gate operators, the company's
mission is to develop and provide innovative products for the
access control and gate operator industry. About Invisa: Invisa's
SmartGate safety systems incorporate the InvisaShield(TM)
capacitive-sensing technology to generate an invisible protective
field around the leading edge of powered gates, garage doors,
sliding doors and other powered closures. The InvisaShield
technology is also used in security sensors to pick up intruders
that violate an invisible zone of protection: Invisa security
sensors currently are in operation at a major New England museum.
