Appointment of Gailina J. Liew

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Gailina J. Liew as an Independent Non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 19 July 2017.

Ms. Liew joins the Board having served as its Board Apprentice since November 2016. She is a Non-executive Director of Digital Jersey Limited, Founding Director of the Jersey Policy Forum and is Vice-Chair and Commissioner of the Jersey Appointments Commission.

Ms. Liew is the former Board Chair of ventureLAB, a Canadian innovation centre. Between 2010 and 2013 she was President and Chief Operating Officer of GeneNews Limited, a TSX-listed company. During this time she was also a member of its board of Directors. Ms. Liew has worked as an Independent Biotech Consultant, served on the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board in Ontario and acted as Corporate Legal Counsel and Corporate Secretary to the Ontario Lead Investment Fund.

She holds an Honours Bachelor of Sciences with Distinction (BSc), Molecular Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Laws from Western University (London, Canada) and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University (Chicago, USA) and Schulich School of Business, York University (Toronto, Canada).

Ms. Liew does not currently hold any shares in the Company.

There is no further information to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 R (2) to (6) for Ms. Liew.
