                 Oriel Resources PLC ("Oriel" or the "Company")
                              Exercise of Options


Oriel Resources PLC (AIM:ORI, TSX:ORL) announces today that options over
ordinary shares of 1p each in the capital of the Company under the Company's
share option scheme have been exercised.

Details of the options exercised are as follows:

333,333                                                           15p


Accordingly, application will be made for 333,333 ordinary shares of 1p in the
Company, which will rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares, to be
admitted to trading on AIM. The admission is expected to occur on or
about 1 June 2005.
