ISTANBUL--Turkey's biggest brewer Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayii AS (AEFES.IS) said Thursday it will halt the production of beer and malt in its Moscow facilities as of Jan. 1, and will move the beer production business to other parts in Russia.

Anadolu Efes said the move came after Russian regulations led to more than a 20% decline in Russian beer market in the past five years and the capacity usage for beer sector on average fell to around 60% in the recent years.

Anadolu Efes shares were trading 0.2% lower at TRY23.25 amid a 1.7% higher overall Istanbul market at 0820 GMT.
