Talks between French utility GDF Suez SA (GSZ.FR) and its Italian partner Acea SpA (ACE.MI) about forging closer ties continue, a GDF Suez executive said Thursday.

The key matters now are the appointment in full of a "solid management" team at Acea and then, that the new team study the file already prepared in the two companies' negotiations, said Pierre Clavel, head of the company's Europe division.

Clavel was speaking at a seminar to present GDF Suez' businesses.
