CARRIED MORE THAN 2.4 MILLION
PASSENGERS
In May 2018,
Avianca Holdings and its subsidiaries carried 2,468,426 passengers, a 4.6% decrease over the same period in 2017.
In May, the subsidiary companies of
Avianca Holdings S.A. (NYSE: AVH) (BVC: PFAVH) (*)
transported 2,468,426 passengers, a 4.6% decrease compared to May 2017. Capacity, measured in ASKs (available seat kilometers), increased 4.0%, while passenger traffic, measured in RPKs
(revenue passenger kilometers), increased 3.6%. The load factor for the month was 81.6%, a decrease of 27 bps compared to the same period of 2017.
Domestic markets in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador
In May,
the subsidiary airlines of Avianca Holdings transported within each of these markets a total of 1,394,778 travelers, down 8.0% compared to same period of 2017. Capacity (ASKs) decreased 4.1% while passenger traffic (RPKs) decreased 5.7%. The load
factor for the month was 79.0%, a decrease of 135 bps compared to the same month of 2017.
International markets
In May, the affiliated airlines of Avianca Holdings transported 1,073,648 passengers on international routes, went up 0.1% compared to same period of
2017. Capacity (ASKs) increased 5.9%, while passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 5.8%. The load factor for the month was 82.2%, a decrease of 7 bps when compared to May 2017.
