The Avery Dennison®
Monarch® Freshmarx® 9417+ solution
is designed to make food safety compliance labeling simple and
reliable
Avery Dennison, a Fortune 500® global leader in labeling and
packaging materials and solutions, announced from its Printer and
Fastener Solutions (PFS) division today the release of the Avery
Dennison® Monarch® Freshmarx® 9417+ solution, the most flexible and
robust food labeling printing system on the market.
The Monarch® Freshmarx® 9417+ solution is the latest addition to
Avery Dennison’s food freshness labeling product family
encompassing hardware, application and edit utility. The system
combines a single or dual head printer with intuitive Freshmarx®
software and a touchscreen interface to provide an all-in-one,
compact solution designed for foodservice environments.
“The Monarch® Freshmarx® 9417+ Solution is an easy-to-use,
automated system that takes a majority of the guesswork out of food
safety through precise, efficient and responsible technology,” said
Erik Shafer, global vice president of Printer and Fastener
Solutions at Avery Dennison. “We are proud to launch the new
industry benchmark, which allows us to protect customers across the
globe while simultaneously providing advanced technology that
improves operational efficiencies.”
A robust and comprehensive labeling solution, the Monarch®
Freshmarx® 9417+ enhances label precision and accuracy, reduces
waste, and helps restaurants and convenience stores meet food cost
goals.
Benchmark in Food Safety and Nutritional Labeling
The Monarch® Freshmarx® 9417+ provides accurate ingredient,
nutrition and shelf-life labels. With the ability to access
pre-stored data and integrate audible timers to track food prep,
the system provides maximum accuracy in shelf-life calculations. As
a result, the printing system can provide patrons with precise
freshness data, help eliminate health code violations for illegible
labels, and reduce imprecise food waste.
Operational Efficiency
This solution is durable and moisture resistant for most kitchen
environments, includes a built-in wall mount for eye-level
operation and workspace optimization, and is UL® listed. In
addition, the Monarch® Freshmarx® 9417+ delivers automated updates
that can be made via a dual band Wi-Fi option, allowing remote
updates from a central location, with no on site employee
intervention required.
The printer protects data via a secure SFTP and support updates
via Ethernet or USB, offering safe, worry-free operation, while
decreasing management and inventory costs in the process. From
batch printing in various print formats to staff training via the
integrated video and document viewer, the Monarch® Freshmarx® 9417+
is an intuitive system for any food service company to improve
operations.
Global Flexibility and Multi-Purpose Functionality
Supporting 15 languages and dual language operator screens, the
Monarch® Freshmarx® 9417+ solution is easily incorporated into
global kitchen facilities and is perfect for bilingual foodservice
operations. Equipped with 21 standard label formats, the system
creates barcode labels for inventory or point of sale (POS)
scanning, ensuring labeling consistency across multiple
locations.
Sustainability
This solution also incorporates an EcoCapacity+™ Thin Liner, a
label material that has been designed to reduce environmental
impact across the categories of fossil material, trees, water,
energy, greenhouse gas emissions and waste at the same price per
label as a standard label material.
Integrated Technology
With an open technology architecture for custom application
development, the Monarch® Freshmarx® 9417+ can be seamlessly
implemented into existing kitchen standards and future applications
through Avery Dennison’s association with Applied Data Corporation
(ADC), a global leader in Fresh-Item Management solutions for the
supermarket, grocery, convenience and fresh-food industries. ADC’s
software allows Avery Dennison to expand its offerings from
traditional food prep date labeling to industry wide, compliant
nutritional, allergen, and production information, enhancing the
company’s position in the convenience store industry, while growing
