Catalina Marketing Sells Japan Billboard Business ST. PETERSBURG,
Fla., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Catalina Marketing
Corporation (NYSE:POS) today announced that it completed the sale
of its Japanese outdoor advertising business on August 31, 2004.
Japan Billboard, also known as Pacific Media KK, was an indirect
wholly owned subsidiary of Catalina Marketing. The decision to
divest this business is part of the company's previously announced
strategy to focus on proprietary applications at the point of sale.
