Walmart Inc. (WMT) said it would acquire technology and assets from Polymorph Labs for an undisclosed amount to expand its in-house ad technology.

Polymorph's technology will be integrated into the ad targeting and measurement platform of Walmart's advertising business, Walmart Media Group, the retailer said in a posting on its web site Thursday.

Polymorph's product developers and engineers will join Walmart Media Group in its San Bruno and Sunnyvale, California, plus offices in Bangalore, India. Walmart said it expects the deal to close later this spring.

Polymorph is a Silicon Valley ad tech startup founded in 2013. The company has developed a cloud-based, self-serve platform that connects to thousands of automated supply-side ad-buying systems, Walmart said.
