Iberdrola 2021 Profit Rose, Lifts Dividend Proposal

Iberdrola SA said Wednesday that profit rose in the full year
and raised its dividend proposal.
The Spanish utility company said that net profit was 3.88
billion euros ($4.39 billion) in the year, compared with EUR3.61
billion a year earlier.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization
came in at EUR12.01 billion, up from EUR10.04 billion.
Revenue increased 18% on year to EUR39.11 billion.
Iberdrola said it will propose a 4.8% increase in annual
remuneration at the next general shareholders' meeting, to reach a
dividend of EUR0.44 a share for 2021. The company already paid an
interim dividend of EUR0.17 a share and is now set to propose an
additional remuneration of EUR0.27 a share.
