SE Concepts currently maintains two U.S. patents and was in the process of preparing another patent application when opportunities within the fitness industry began to overwhelm this intention due to the Dermscan study, causing the company to quickly shift gears. SE Concepts immediately gave precedence to the newer patent in order to protect a technology and mechanical process incorporated into each unit which ultimately enhances fitness performance.
