KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia--DiGi.com Bhd. (6947.KU) has appointed Lars-Ake Norling chief executive effective Aug. 1, it said Thursday.

Mr. Norling--currently head of Telenor in Sweden--replaces Henrik Clausen who will take on an unspecified "new senior role" in the Norway-based Telenor ASA, Malaysia's third-largest telecommunications company by subscribers said Thursday in a statement.

Telenor owns about 49% of DiGi.com.
