Norway's Telenor ASA (TEL.OS) said Thursday that Jon Erik Reinhardsen has been appointed to the Board of Directors, succeeding Mr Hallvard Bakke, who has served on the Board since May 19, 2011.

 
   MAIN FACTS: 

-Mr. Reinhardsen is President and CEO of Petroleum Geo-Services ASA (PGS.OS), a position he has held since Apr. 2008. Prior to joining PGS, he has held executive positions in Alcoa, Aker Kvaerner and Aker Maritime.

-Shares closed Wednesday at NOK147.50, valuing the company at NOK223.7 billion.
