Universal Systems, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: UVSS), announced today it has
completed Alaska Phase I with great success. This work was
completed under contract with the assistance of ITT of Huntsville
Alabama. ITT is a major US Military Defense contractor.
During this exercise Universal was able to recover several sizes
of communication cable. Ranging from 1 1/2 to 3 inch. Approximately
35 miles of cable was surveyed and mapped, and made ready for
recovery. The ocean portion of the recovery has been temporarily
postponed and will resume as weather permits. However, the land
cable recovery will commence once metallurgical assays are in and
the purchase of the recovery equipment has been completed.
Universal is moving forward quickly on the recovery of the cable
Mr. Chamber, CEO of USI stated, "We have currently submitted
documentation to the proper authority's for permits that will allow
us to recover the cable on land if proven commercial viable."
Mr. Chambers also commented that Universal's work in Sitka
Alaska was performed in part with the help of local Native
Americans that made this work more expedient, as they were pleased
to see that Universal had the same environmental mission as they
did in cleaning up the cable.
In addition, USI hosted a high-level meeting in Baker City, OR
on Saturday, September 20th to coordinate the various activities
which Universal directors and key managers from Canada, Central and
South America. Those present were Engineers and Managers of ITT,
Dan Spencer from Bio-Star, Kraige Smerdal from USI Canada Inc.
Legal council and the Board of USI. This meeting was due partly to
prioritize the many major oil company activities that Universal has
been involved with over the past year. We have had many successes
in the demonstrating our ability to economically recover oil and
clean discharge water from oil field production. Another
significant Item is that Universal has concluded to a major oil
firm that we can recovery and recycle KCL water. This water with
other chemicals is utilized when an oil field service company needs
to increase oil well production. As far as Universal can tell it is
the only company able to do this type of recovery and recycle. This
a very big moment for USI as it will open doors to other oil field
service companies around the world said Mr. Chambers.
About Universal Systems, Inc.
Universal Systems, Inc (USI) is a publicly traded holding
company focused on providing economically and ecologically viable
water and wastewater treatment solutions. USI offers a FULL SERVICE
turn-key water treatment services, specializing in "slop oil" and
CBM (Coal Bed Methane) produced water.
In 2007, USI obtained an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement
to provide slop oil and processed wastewater treatment services to
the oil industry. The company's mission is to become the leader in
the development and delivery of cost effective slop oil and
processed wastewater treatment. USI joined Powell Water Systems,
Inc. (PWS) and Water Solutions, LLC (WS) to bring PWS's patented
electrocoagulation technology to the oil industry, making large
flow waste oil, and water treatment efficient and cost
effective.
More recently, USI has discovered the immediate need to become
involved in building, owning, and operating central produced water
processing facilities. This service is widely needed wherever
natural gas is produced; the diminished capacity to handle
processed water from natural gas production is causing some
production wells to be shut in until alternative-treating plants
can be brought on line. As tougher water discharge regulations are
being imposed, the need is becoming even greater.
USI's business plan for expansion includes the purchase or
acquisition of other specialized trade service companies that will
complement and enhance the overall product and service offering of
the company.
