Chloride Group PLC ("Chloride") has today received notification in accordance
with Sections 198-202 of the Companies Act 1985 that Deutsche Bank AG and its
subsidiary companies (together "Deutsche Bank") has a notifiable interest in
34,635,234 Ordinary Shares of 25p each in Chloride, being 13.98% of the issued
ordinary share capital of Chloride.

The previous position notified by Deutsche Bank was on 18 February 2002, when
its interest in 34,904,150 (14.09%) Chloride ordinary shares was disclosed.
