                               Holding in Company

Eicom plc was notified on 2 November 2007 that Allianz SE has purchased
2,500,000 ordinary shares in the Company.

Allianz SE is the ultimate holding company of Allianz Insurance plc ("Allianz
Insurance"). The shares in Allianz Insurance are held by Allianz UK Limited,
which is a direct subsidiary of Allianz Europe Limited ("Allianz Europe") which
is itself a 66.66% owned subsidiary of Allianz SE. The other 33.33% of shares in
Allianz Europe are owned by Allianz Lebensvericherungs AG ("Allianz Leben"), a
direct subsidiary of Jota Vermogensverwaltungs GmbH ("Jota"), which is itself a
direct subsidiary of Allianz SE.

Following this purchase Allianz SE holds 2,500,000 ordinary shares in the
Company representing 7.67% of the voting rights in the Company.
