                Statement of Interim Results as at 31 July 2007


The Board of EPIC Reconstruction plc have today released their Interim Results
as at 31 July 2007 which form part of this announcement.


Highlights of the period are:

   o Total gross income of GBP1.0m, and Net Revenue Profit for the period of
     GBP0.5m.


   o Provisions have been made against certain investments of #1.6m primarily
     relating to losses previously reported on Abbseal as a post balance sheet 
     event as at 31 January 2007.


   o Net asset value per share as at the 31 July 2007 was down from 65.01p at 31
     January 2007 to 61.19p.


   o The Board has decided to focus on preserving cash balances at the half year 
     by not declaring an interim dividend and will review dividend payments at 
     the year end.
