LONDON--DMCI Mining Corporation said Tuesday that as at 1700 GMT
on March 28 it had received valid acceptances in respect of 9.01
million Toledo Mining Corp. PLC (TMC.LN) shares, or 18.1%, and it
now owns or has received valid acceptances in respect of 27.99
million Toledo shares, or 56.2%.
MAIN FACTS:
-Offer, which is now unconditional in all respects, is being
extended until 1200 GMT on April 16.
-As at 1700 GMT on March 28 , DMCI Mining hadn't received a
valid acceptance in respect of 1.3 million Toledo shares which were
subject to a letter of intent procured by DMCI Mining from Alfredo
C. Ramos.
-On Feb. 15, DMCI Mining, a wholly-owned subsidiary of DMCI
Holdings Inc (DMC.PH), announced that it had increased its stake in
Toledo to 37.7%a and would make a cash offer to acquire the shares
of Toledo not already owned.
-Toledo shares at 0830 GMT up 1 pence, or 2.01%, at 51 pence
valuing the company at 24.8 million pounds.
