      Paragraph 16.4 Notification 

In compliance with paragraph 16.4 of the Listing Rules I now confirm the
following information in relation to Mr Jim Murphy who was recently appointed a
Director of the Company. This is in addition to the information already
disclosed to the Stock Exchange in our announcements of the 22nd September 2003
and 30th September 2003.

In relation to paragraph 16.4(a):-

Mr Jim Murphy was a director of Golden Vale plc from 1997 to 2002. He is no
longer a director of this company. Mr Murphy has not held at any time in the
previous five years and does not currently hold any directorships in other
public quoted company.

In relation to paragraph 16.4(b) (the details required by paragraph
6.F.2(b)to(g):-

There are no further details under Paragraph 6.F.2(b)to(g) to be disclosed in
respect Of Mr Jim Murphy.
