TEL AVIV, Israel, February 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --
RADCOM Ltd. (NASDAQ: RDCM), today announced it is
collaborating with Red Hat to provide operators with a fully
virtualized network visibility solution running on Red Hat
OpenStack Platform. As operators transition to NFV, a critical
first step is gaining end-to-end network visibility. This
collaboration enables operators to attain cloud-native network
visibility without the hassle of building their own private cloud
infrastructure. Moreover, once the operators' transition to NFV
mature, integration efforts with the operators' NFV and MANO
infrastructure can be simplified.
"Our customers see deploying network visibility as their top
priority in beginning their journey to NFV-based networks.
Customers want to deploy cloud-native service assurance as their
first virtual network function (VNF) to test all other VNFs during
the early POC(s) stage as well as when as the operator deploys them
on the network," said Rami Amit,
RADCOM's CTO and Head of Product. "However, not all operators have
mature cloud environments. In collaborating with Red Hat, RADCOM is
providing operators a solution that allows them to achieve network
visibility more rapidly, whether they have cloud environments or
not. This solution provides operators with an ideal cornerstone on
which to build their next-generation NFV networks and ensures
complete end-to-end network services visibility from day one."
RADCOM's solution includes Red Hat OpenStack Platform to provide
virtual machines on demand. Running on top of Red Hat OpenStack
Platform is RADCOM's MaveriQ solution that is built with a
microservices architecture and runs as a Virtual Network Function
(VNF) with multiple VNF Components. Delivering automatic creation
of resource stacks and automated instantiations of virtual
functions components are some of the critical success factors for
cloud deployments.
RADCOM's network visibility delivers increased efficiency and
real-time performance make use of less hardware and provides
automated in/out scalability critical in today's high capacity
networks and is becoming even more essential as operators begin
deploying 5G and supporting increased IoT traffic. With RADCOM
becoming a Red Hat ISV Advanced Partner, RADCOM's customers
deploying its cloud-native assurance can benefit from the
implementation of the Red Hat OpenStack Platform which can
facilitate a full OpenStack deployment in transition to an
NFV-based network.
With full network visibility out of the box, operators gain
real-time insights into network and service performance to assure
customer experience, and to optimize customer touchpoints, as they
transition their services to a virtual platform. From day one,
operators using RADCOM's network and customer insights to ensure
improved performance and compliance with service SLAs can validate
service quality throughout the virtual evolution from
pre-deployment validation to live network deployments.
