Johnson, the 2006 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Champion, Wins the 2007
Championship in Dominant Fashion with 10 Victories and 24 Top-10

technology - won the 2007 NASCAR(R) NEXTEL Cup championship for the
second year in a row. Johnson secured the championship in the final
race of the season, the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Hendrick Motorsports put together a strong season with the team's
four drivers winning 18 of 36 races and Johnson claiming the
championship after battling it out down the stretch with teammate
Jeff Gordon, a four-time NEXTEL Cup Champion, who won six races and
had a NASCAR-record 30 top-10 finishes for the year. Johnson won
the 2007 championship in dominant fashion bringing home four of his
10 victories during the Chase for the Championship. Johnson had 24
top- 10 finishes for the season. Johnson became the first driver
since Gordon to win double-digit races, four in a row and
