LONDON--Byotrol PLC (BYOT.LN) Tuesday posted a 19% narrowed
pretax loss for the first half of its financial year, partly due to
lower administrative expenses, and said that it remains very
positive about the outlook.
For the six months ended Sept. 30, the company posted a pretax
loss of 369,845 pounds ($579,510), compared with a pretax loss of
GBP457,733 in the year ago period. Revenue for the period declined
to GBP1.6 million from GBP1.7 million.
The company, which manufactures hand sanitizers and
anti-microbial products, said that it has appointed Trevor Francis
to its board as chief technology officer with immediate effect. Mr.
Francis earlier served at Unilever (UNA.AE), as global vice
president of Homecare division's research and development team.
