Acquisition of Perdata S.A., a Spanish provider of EDC products and services


DICOM Group plc ("DICOM Group"), the global leader in the Electronic Document
Capture ("EDC") market, announces the acquisition of 100 per cent of the equity
of Perdata S.A. ("Perdata"), a Spanish based provider of EDC products and
services, for a total consideration of Euro0.7m (#0.5m) in cash.

Perdata, founded in 1989, has a significant market share of the Spanish EDC
market and was previously a competitor to DICOM in this region. The acquisition
will strengthen DICOM Group's leading market position in Spain.

Perdata's customers include Telefonica Moviles, Ericsson, Philipp Morris, Sony,
Spain Tir, Jaztel Telecom.

For the financial year to 31 December 2002, Perdata reported sales of Euro1.6m
(#1.1m) and an operating profit before exceptional items of Euro0.2m (#0.1m). As at
31 December 2002, the company had net assets of Euro13,000 (#9,000).
