News

    • Telecommunications - Billing, customer provisioning, online subscriber services
    • Government - Mission-critical applications, high-velocity data processing
    • Entertainment and Media – Streaming TV, dynamic content serving
  • Huge user base. Terracotta’s Ehcache is the de facto in-memory data store for enterprise Java and the interface for snapping BigMemory into applications. Ehcache users run more than two million enterprise applications worldwide and a growing number are upgrading to BigMemory to store more application data in memory.

Analyst Perspective

  • Current technology trends point to increasing demand for in-memory data management solutions. Leading analyst firm Gartner named Big Data and in-memory computing among the top 10 strategic technologies for 2012. According to Gartner*, “as cost and availability of memory intensive hardware platforms reach tipping points in 2012 and 2013, the in-memory approach will enter the mainstream.”
