Sales of Canadian made furniture to support Canadian Veterans
and Families.
EDMONTON,
March 26, 2014 /CNW/
- For over 42 years, The Brick has partnered with
Canadian manufacturers to provide everyday low prices on Canadian
made upholstered furniture. From April
3 to 30, 2014 The Brick is proud to showcase their Canadian
partnerships with Canadian upholstery manufacturers by launching
the first ever "Proudly Canadian Event". This event will
prominently feature upholstered furniture items designed and
manufactured by Canadians for Canadians.
"We are proud to feature Canadian-made sofas,
sectionals and loveseats," said Jim
Caldwell, President of The Brick. "There is no better time
to buy Canadian inspired furniture at unbeatable prices than during
The Brick's Proudly Canadian Event." Canadian manufacturers
are vital to the health of our economy: they employ skilled
Canadian artisans, and support the economic conditions in numerous
Canadian communities. By using many Canadian-made and
-sourced supplies, customers know they have purchased inspired
designs made from quality Canadian materials that support
Canada's furniture
industry.
As part of the Proudly Canadian Event, The Brick
is excited to be joining forces with Wounded Warriors, a non-profit
organization that supports Canadian military and veterans who have
been injured while serving Canada. For every piece of
Canadian-made furniture purchased at The Brick from April 3 to 30th, 2014, The Brick will
make a donation to Wounded Warriors of $5 per piece and up to $25 if three pieces are purchased together.
The Brick is also extending to all Canadian
military members and veterans, an extra 5% off the purchase price
of Canadian upholstered furniture from April
3 to 30th, 2014.
"The Brick team members wanted to show their
support for the Canadian military and their families. As a
proud Canadian company, this is The Brick's way of showing its
sincere appreciation for the sacrifice that Canadian military
members and their families make to protect and serve our great
country", noted Mr. Caldwell. "This is our small way of
saying thank you to the Canadian military and their families."
Scott Maxwell,
Executive Director of Wounded Warriors Canada, commented, "We are
pleased that great Canadian companies like The Brick understand the
sacrifice these men and women have made for Canada. By taking the initiative and
leading this Proudly Canadian Event in support of Wounded Warriors
Canada, The Brick is showing its appreciation by raising important
awareness and funds to support our national programs and services
geared towards mental health."
