Proudly Canadian Made furniture program makes The
Brick
one of the organization's top supporters
EDMONTON, Oct. 25, 2017 /CNW/ - Wounded Warriors is
proud to announce The Brick was its top corporate sponsors in 2016,
raising and donating $200,000 to the
national organization.
"As a Canadian company, The Brick is proud to stand beside the
men and women that serve our country – whether they're active-duty
members of the Canadian Armed Forces or valued veterans", said
Dave Freeman, President of The
Brick. "We're honoured to support Wounded Warriors Canada
with $200,000 as they continue the
important work of helping veterans transition to civilian
life."
Donations were raised over the course of 2016. During The
Brick's Proudly Canadian Made Furniture promotions, which were held
4 times in 2016, a portion of each purchase of furniture made by
Canadian manufacturers was donated to Wounded Warriors Canada.
On top of the Proudly Canadian Made Furniture promotion, The
Brick also donated funds, making the company one of the
organization's top corporate sponsors for 2016.
Today we celebrate the Brick, a Canadian company whose ongoing
vision and leadership leverages its position as a leader in the
sale of Canadian made furniture into an ongoing commitment to
supporting those Veterans, First Responders and their families who
are injured as a result of their service to Canada. Since their first contribution, the
Brick's faith in the mission of Wounded Warriors Canada amounts to
approximately ¾ of a million dollars enabling us to grow and expand
programing across Canada. These
programs continue to change and save lives and the Bricks
significant partnership reminds us that as a nation we are in this
together," Phil Ralph, National
Program Director, Wounded Warriors Canada
The Brick and Wounded Warriors Canada began their partnership in
2014.
About Wounded Warriors Canada
Wounded Warriors Canada is a non-profit organization that helps
Canadian Armed Forces members – be they regular force, reservists
or retired – who have been wounded or injured in their service
to Canada. Through a wide range of programs and services,
Wounded Warriors helps to find solutions where gaps have left our
soldiers in need. Currently, its primary focus is on mental health
and, particularly, the staggering impact of Post-Traumatic Stress
