Troon Ventures Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:TVN) (the "Company" or "Troon") announced that
D. Bruce McLeod has stepped down today as President & CEO of the Company in
order to devote more time to his new role as President and CEO of Mercator
Minerals Ltd. Mr. McLeod will continue to serve Troon as a member of the Board.


Colin K. Benner, will assume the role of Interim President & CEO of the Company,
as the Board initiates an external search for the position.


Mr. Benner is an experienced mining executive who is well known in the mining
industry in his many roles in senior management and as an executive both in
Canada and internationally. He is a member of the Association of Professional
Engineers of Ontario, the Canadian Society of Professional Engineers as well as
a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of
British Columbia, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of
Nunavut, the Society of Mining Engineers of the AIME and the Canadian Institute
of Mining. Mr. Benner is also a Registered ICD.
