Ezenia! Inc. Announces Three New Orders for InfoWorkSpace Version
2.5.1 from the Department of Defense and the Expected Date of its
Third Quarter Operating Results BURLINGTON, Mass., Oct. 27
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ezenia!(R) Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board:
EZEN.OB), a leading provider of real-time collaboration solutions
for corporate and government networks and eBusiness, today
announced three significant orders it had recently received and
fulfilled in the third quarter from within the U.S. Department of
Defense ("DoD") for InfoWorkSpace Version 2.5.1.2 as a direct
result of the Interoperability certification obtained in July.
These orders, for the U.S. Air Force, the Office of the Secretary
of Defense (OSD) and Joint Task Force 180 (JTF180) located in
Afghanistan, are noteworthy and indicative of the pent up demand
finally released upon the issuance of the Final Report by the Joint
Interoperability Test Command (JITC) and the Defense Information
System Agency (DISA), confirming InfoWorkSpace full compliance with
the interoperability requirements and certifying it for joint use.
"The Interoperability certification by JITC/DISA allows DoD
customers to proceed forward with additional procurements of
InfoWorkSpace, to either expand existing deployments or add new
installations," remarked Khoa Nguyen, Ezenia Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer. "These three orders, among others, reaffirm our
belief that InfoWorkSpace is the collaboration tool of choice
within the DOD and the Intelligence Community. Although these
recent orders will not meaningfully impact our operating results
for the fiscal third quarter ended September 30, 2003, they provide
solid foundation and footing for Q4 and beyond. We are optimistic
and hopeful that this positive trend will continue through the
balance of 2003 and on into 2004, as Ezenia works to return to
profitability". Ezenia! is scheduled to issue its earnings press
release on its fiscal third quarter operating results on or before
November 7, 2003. Highlights of the Final Report on InfoWorkSpace
with regard to interoperability compliance by JITC/DISA can be
