Director Shareholding

The Company was notified yesterday that on 16 December 2010 Andrew Weatherstone, Group Finance Director, bought 15,000 Ordinary Shares of 0.5 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") in the issued share capital of the Company at a price of 66.25 pence each. Andrew Weatherstone now holds an interest in 15,000 Ordinary shares in the Company representing 0.04% of the Company's issued share capital.

ATH Resources was listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in June 2004 and operates three surface coal mines in Scotland; Skares Road, in East Ayrshire, Glenmuckloch in Dumfries and Galloway and Muir Dean in Fife. The Group is currently one of the largest producers of coal in the UK producing approximately 2 million tonnes per annum.
