We are writing to you on behalf of Helical Bar plc.  Following an acquisition of
350,000 shares on 9th May 2000, Helical Bar plc had an interest in 6,865,600
Bourne End Properties plc ordinary 25p shares.  This represented 11.27% of the
shares in issue.

Following a further acquisition of 471,000 shares on 10th May 2000, Helical Bar
plc has an interest in 7,336,600 Bourne End Properties plc ordinary 25p shares.
This represents 12.05% of the shares in issue.
