Charlton Athletic plc (the "Company") announces that it has been notified that
earlier today the following directors purchased ordinary shares of 50 pence each
in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 40 pence per Ordinary Share:

33,507; and G.C.B. Franklin 25,481.
