Tullow Oil PLC (TLW.LN) said Tuesday that it has appointed Dorothy Thompson as chairwoman-designate to succeed current chairman and founder Aidan Heavey on July 20.

Ms. Thompson, who has been chief executive of Drax Group PLC (DRX.LN) for 12 years, will join Tullow on April 25, the company said. The oil producer added that Mr. Heavey will retire from the board on July 20.
