Dongfeng Motor Corporation Participated in the Eighth China-Eurasia Expo, Achieving Substantial Success by Securing Deals for Over 1,800 Units During the Promotional Event

The 8th China-Eurasia Expo kicked off on June 26, 2024, in
Urumqi, Xinjiang. Dongfeng Motor Corporation seized the opportunity
to participate, actively engaging in various exchanges and
collaborations to seek project alignment, partnerships, and market
development opportunities.
Dongfeng Motor Corporation hosted an overseas product promotion
and customer signing ceremony, targeting customers from Kazakhstan,
Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and other countries. They
showcased their flagship products: the DONGFENG GX, a high-end
heavy truck comparable to European models, certified by the EU's
WVTA and OTTC, ensuring seamless travel across Eurasia. The
DONGFENG KL features an extra-large 1150L fuel tank, allowing it to
cover all of Central Asia on a single tank. The DONGFENG KC PRO
series, including 6x4 and 8x4 models, has also received OTTC
certification. Additionally, Dongfeng showcased a broad selection
of commercial vehicles tailored for Central Asian customers.
Dongfeng Motor Corporation struck significant deals at the expo,
signing agreements with both domestic and international partners.
They secured five major overseas contracts and two domestic
contracts, translating into sales of over 700 units abroad and
1,100 units within China.
Dongfeng Motor Corporation, a major force in China's auto
industry, is a strong supporter of the government's Belt and Road
initiative. This strategy is accelerating their overseas expansion,
particularly in Central Asia. From January to May, their vehicle
exports to these countries skyrocketed by 71% year-over-year, with
exports shipped through Xinjiang ports experiencing an even more
impressive 207% year-over-year growth.
Overall sales are also booming. Dongfeng sold a staggering 1.043
million vehicles during this period, reflecting a healthy 19.9%
year-over-year increase and outperforming the industry average.
Notably, new energy vehicles are a bright spot, with sales surging
by 118.1% year-over-year to reach 299,000 units. Additionally,
sales of their own proprietary brands climbed by a significant
45.5% year-over-year, reaching 545,000 units.

the Xinjiang and Central Asian markets, consistently prioritizing
market demand and introducing high-quality, high-performance
